This machine is an excellent example of a multi-purpose geotechnical rig capable of most modes of investigation including SPT, DPP, wireline coring and conventional rotary drilling. It can even be used for shallow coal and mineral exploration, capable of a 250m HQ wireline coring depth. The rig has a 3.5 m feed stroke and a mast extension that allows handling of up to 6.0m of rods. The R1000HS-MV rotary delivers up to 870 rpm and 6,300 Nm of torque.
Fully radio remote with hydraulic breakout and full rotation safety cage, the 405 represents the latest in safe drilling from Italian manufacturer Comacchio.
