Vertical Multipurpose Rigs

Comacchio drilling rigs are broadly used in geotechnical engineering for the installation of micropiles. The Comacchio range includes a wide choice of models, featuring a rigid and robust mast design that guarantees precise on-hole positioning and perfect verticality. Their masts are designed to provide long strokes supporting highly productive micropiles construction methodologies, such as jet grouting and CFA.

Jet grouting is an extremely flexible and effective method of ground consolidation or waterproofing based on the use of very high-pressure fluid jets. The Comacchio drilling rigs can be configured for single, double and triple fluid jet grouting, satisfying the most varied needs. Our offering ranges from compact models sized to work inside buildings and in confined or low headroom spaces to large drilling rigs reaching up to 33 m depth in a single pass with the use of telescopic mast extensions.

The so-called ‘F configuration’, available on most models, allows our vertical drilling rigs to be effectively utilized for CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) drilling and conventional auger drilling (both cased and uncased).
