Limited Access Rigs

Foundation construction, underpinning and ground consolidation in urban environments frequently require the use of particularly compact equipment, able to access very restricted sites (often located underground) and to operate in extremely confined spaces. To meet this type of needs, the Comacchio range offers a wide selection of drill rigs equipped with a separate power pack (installed on a tracked or wheeled undercarriage), which can be positioned up to 30 m away from the drilling unit, thus significantly reducing both the footprint of the equipment and the fumes emissions.

The footprint can be further reduced thanks to the variable-width undercarriages available on all our limited access rigs. Emissions can be eliminated through the use of electric motors, available on all these drill rig models. Comacchio drilling rigs with separate power pack are equipped with a fully articulated kinematic system that allows reaching the most varied positions and inclinations of the mast. Our limited access rigs support any type of rotary and rotary percussion drilling methodology.
