Truck Mounted Drill Rigs

The Comacchio range of geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations equipment includes four truck mounted drilling rig models, that can be used for conventional and wire line coring, in situ testing (SPT), sample collection and the installation of borehole instrumentation.

The main advantage offered by our truck mounted drilling rigs is the quick and effective mobilization and installation, making them perfectly suited for drilling campaigns in challenging environmental conditions, on remote areas and/or rough terrain. The range includes extremely lightweight and compact 2.5-tonnes-pull units installable on small 4×4 pick-ups or trucks, up to 15-tonnes-pull rigs designed for applications that are more heavy-duty.

Powered by the truck engine via power take-off (PTO) or by an auxiliary hydraulic unit, the Comacchio MC-T drilling rigs are equipped with advanced modular hydraulic circuits that allow the installation of a wide range of rotary heads and application-specific accessories (water and mud pumps, duplex and triplex pumps, compressors, wire line winches and other options). These robust and reliable truck mounted drilling rigs can adapt to virtually any rotary drilling application, as well as rotary percussion drilling techniques, in the most challenging ground conditions. Thanks to their higher pull up capabilities and torque output, the heavier weight MC-T drilling rigs can be effectively implemented for the construction, repair and deepening of water wells and the installation of ground source heat pump systems.
