Fully Articulated Multipurpose Rigs

The hallmark of our drilling rigs is the great variety of mast positions and inclinations that they are capable to perform thanks to the Comacchio patented articulation system. This unique kinematics concept was introduced for the first time by Comacchio in 1998. It has been perfected over the years to give life to the current articulation system, which allows a 180 ° rotation of the mast without re-pinning of the cylinders. The result is the great versatility in the use of these drilling rigs: our fully articulated rigs cover the entire spectrum of geotechnical engineering applications (micropiles, anchors, tie rods, soil nails, jet grouting) and are capable of operating in the most challenging jobsite conditions.

Our offering ranges from compact units weighing just over 3 tonnes, designed for operation in low headroom and restricted access sites, to large drilling rigs weighing up to 30 tonnes and providing over 200 kW of power, designed for the most demanding jobs and heavy duty drilling methodologies, including double head applications. With a view to improving productivity and safety levels, the Comacchio MC line rigs can be offered with an array of automated rods and casings handling solutions.
